She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James "Jigger" Johnson; brothers, James Wade and Norman Hampton; and their spouses. She was unusually energetic for her age, which infected all those who knew her. Sue doted not only on her immediate family, but also friends, her relatives in Texas and her Michigan and Irish in-laws. She was affectionately known as "Coco" by all the children who knew and loved her. Sue will be fondly remembered for her generous, unpretentious spirit and practical jokes.

Charlie Eugene Wein, 75, of Pecos, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 24, at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery with Greer Willis officiating. His work career began with Western Cotton Oil Company, a division of Anderson Clayton, Inc., where he served as a division manager in Pecos.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Rasberry of Southland; his mother, Ruth Rasberry of Pecos; his daughter, Amy Floyd of Amarillo; his son, Jimmy Rasberry of Monahans; his brother, Danny Rasberry of Pecos; and four grandchildren. Survivors include three sons, Eddie D. Hinojos of Odessa, Armando D. Hinojos and Freddy D. Hinojos of Pecos; three daughters, Juanita H. Lujan, Carolina H. Calderon of Dallas, Sarah H. Jacques of Midland; 31 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren and 71 great-great-grandchildren. Martinez Funeral Home of Odessa is in charge of arrangements. Is survived by one son, Lanham Ross and wife, Cheryl, of Miles; two daughters, Marijohn Ross of Miles, Leah Fuentes and husband, Sam of Pecos; one sister, Helen Aycock of San Angelo; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren with one on the way. He was born Sept. 17, 1921, in Olga, Ariz., a lifetime Pecos resident, was a retired butcher, had served in the U.S.

Anita Botello Orosco, 59, of Ballwan Park, Calif., died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, in California. Emma "Sue" Johnson, 72, of Traverse City, died Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, at Munson Medical Center, after suffering an aneurysm.

Services for Una Faye Colins, who died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, in Temple, are incomplete. Rachael Anne Licon, 14, died Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, in a Lubbock hospital. Services are pending at the Peaceful Garden Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at Chaparral Village with Walter Burch officiating. Larry Claverie, 53, died on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003 at Reeves County Hospital. Sunday, Dec. 14, at Toyah Baptist Church, with cake and coffee to be served following the service at Terry's Grill.
Vasquez was preceded in death by his father, Hipolito Vasquez Sr. and his brother, Hector Vasquez. Survivors include her mother, Emma Jasso of Pecos; her father, Manuel Licon of Pecos; one brother, David Licon of Midland; three sisters, Nancy and Crissy Licon, Marissa Jasso of Pecos and her grandparents, Maria and Jose Jasso, Irene Licon of Pecos. Montgomery was the second of five brothers born to Fred and Lucille Montgomery. In 1939 he graduated from Roby High School, in Roby, Tx. Following his military service in World War II, where he served as a naval officer on an LST in the South Pacific, he graduated from Texas Tech University in 1947 with a major in agronomy. Sue was an avid gardener, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
The couple lived for 29 years in El Paso, where Caroline was employed by A.G. She was born Aug. 30, 1918, in Ruidosa, was a lifetime resident of Pecos, a homemaker and a Baptist. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Texas Rehab Center, Abilene, Tx., 79605, or Saint Andrews Presbyterian Mission, 1708 N. He was born Jan. 20, 1969, in Kermit, grew up in Jal, N.M., where he graduated from high school, attended ENMU in Portales, N.M.
Lopez was preceded in death by his wife, Maria R. Lopez and one step-daughter, Bertha Maldonado. Survivors include his wife, Janice Caroline; three daughters, Monica Dorazio of San Antonio, Joni Lloyd of North Platte, Neb. And Jeanne Miller of Las Cruces, N.M; one son, Robert Caroline of Knoxville, Tenn., and nine grandchildren.

And Angelo State University in San Angelo, worked for Mayfield Paper Company in Odessa and his memberships included Sigma Alpha Epsilon, local Harley Owners Group and the National Harley Owners Group and Southside 109 Motorcyle Club. Alvina Hinojos Flores, 70, died on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, in Fort Stockton. Services are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 27 at 2 p.m. At the Iglesia Apostolica in Fort Stockton with Pastor Juan Rodriguez officiating. Services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Fort Stockton.

Gilberto Barragan Sr, 90 of Pecos, Tx, passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, December 8, 2022 in Pecos, Tx. Gilberto was born in El Comedor to Pedro and Liberta Barragan on November 30, 1932. He married the love of his life Guadalupe V. Barragan from San Antonio Del Bravo on December 25, 1956 in Los Fresnos, they were married for 57 years.
